A massively competitive race as expected and lord Erskine arrives on a career high hurdles mark today. However he has useful previous form at this track and the nature of his big handicap hurdle win recently indicates he may be able to overcome this rise in the weights. I think with the same jockey on board today lord erskine is capable of striking again but he will need some luck in this huge field.

This horse had some useful looking flat form before joining this yard and beginning a largely unsuccessful hurdling campaign. The return to the flat today is conspicuous and this stable knows how to land a touch in this type of handicap race. This horse could prove to be very well in today if he has improved since last seen on the flat and it seems likely that he will have improved.

Pepsi cat seems to be improving and has yet to have a bad race with this jockey on board. Has some fine form here at Bath so looks likely to have appropriate conditions in order to get the best from this horse today. Also worth noting that connections consider this horse for a listed race having raced in handicaps so far. Some of that handicap form ties in with races at c2 level so this listed race today may not be such a big increase in class as it first appears. I think this horse can win this today if things fall right.

This is a huge price with the yard in form right now and william buick who has yet to have a bad race on this horse riding today. The horse has gone well on seasonal bow in previous years so the absence does not concern me and thisbhorse went well in listed class last season so may not be finished improving just yet dropped into a handicap today at a track where he has previously won.
